Zhen Yang's Innovative Design Wins Silver A' Design Award

Zhen Yang's design inspiration for the Knowledge Ocean Fire Wolf Creative Book was drawn from the industrial style and the concept of the ocean. The space is adorned with weatherproof steel, creating a robust and enduring aesthetic. The ceiling is modeled as a large octopus, symbolizing the diversity and reach of knowledge. The pillars of the space are wrapped in weatherproof steel and transformed into display frames, while the bookshelves are crafted from steel skeletons and solid wood.

The design's unique properties lie in its ability to transform a large, high space with a limited budget into a unique concept. The project is situated in Shenzhen Bay, surrounded by a bustling business office area and the Silicon Valley of Shenzhen. The ocean concept adopted by Yang is in harmony with the coastal city's attributes, leading to the name "Knowledge Ocean". The design incorporates installation art modeling, further enhancing the ocean theme.

The realization of this design was achieved through the extensive use of weathering steel throughout the space. The construction took nearly two months, with most of the device modeling completed in the factory before being transported to the site for installation. The industrial style was well-received by customers, further validating the design's success.

Yang was not alone in this project. Yang Jialu was also part of the design team, contributing to the creation of this innovative space. The project's duration and location, coupled with the unique challenges it presented, underscore the team's dedication and creativity.

The Knowledge Ocean Fire Wolf Creative Book has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, a testament to its outstanding design and innovation. The award is given to designs that demonstrate remarkable expertise, creativity, and technical prowess. This design, admired for its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
